Terms of Play

1. Overview
PinPoint is a skill-based competition platform. Participants enter competitions by placing a visual marker on an image to indicate where they believe the center of the ball is located.
2. Skill-Based Nature
Outcomes are determined solely by accuracy of the participant’s selection. No element of chance, randomness, or gambling is involved.
PinPoint is not a lottery, betting, or gambling platform and operates as a skill-based competition in accordance with applicable South African law.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be a South African resident.
- You need a valid email address and an account on PinPoint.
4. Entries & Payments
- Each competition has a clearly displayed entry fee.
- All prices and payments are in South African Rand (ZAR).
- Multiple entries per competition are allowed.
- Entries are confirmed only after successful payment.
- Payments are securely processed via PayFast.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Once an entry has been successfully paid for and confirmed, it is generally non-refundable, as your entry is immediately allocated to the competition.
In exceptional circumstances, such as:
- technical failures on the PinPoint platform, or
- duplicate payments clearly attributable to a system error,
PinPoint may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund or credit the amount towards a future competition.
If a competition is cancelled by PinPoint (for example, insufficient entries or circumstances beyond our control), all paid entries will be refunded or credited back to the original payer via the original payment method where possible.
6. Winner Selection
The winner is the participant whose entry is closest to the correct center ball position. In the event of a tie, the earliest submitted entry is selected.
7. Prizes
Prize details are displayed per competition. Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash unless the winner explicitly chooses the cash alternative as a prize.
Where a cash alternative is offered and the winner chooses it, payment will only be made into a valid South African bank account held in the winner’s own name. PinPoint may request an account confirmation letter or other reasonable proof of account ownership before any cash payment is processed. No cash payments will be made to overseas bank accounts or to accounts not in the winner’s name.
7A. Prize Sourcing, Delivery & International Participation
All prizes offered on PinPoint are original and sourced from legitimate, trustworthy suppliers within South Africa. PinPoint does not deal in counterfeit, grey-market, or unauthorised products.
Supplier Transparency
Prizes are procured from verified South African retailers and distributors. Where appropriate, supplier or proof-of-purchase details may be shared with the winning participant upon request.
Delivery Timelines
Physical prizes are typically dispatched within 5–10 business days after winner confirmation and verification. Delivery timelines may vary depending on supplier availability, courier services, and the winner’s location within South Africa.
Returns & Replacements
Physical prizes are subject to the standard warranty, returns, and replacement policies of the relevant supplier or manufacturer. Any defects or faults will be handled in accordance with these policies.
Cash prize alternatives are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or replacements once paid.
International Entries
PinPoint is currently restricted to residents of South Africa only. Entries from persons who are not South African residents are not permitted and will be disqualified.
All prizes (including any cash alternatives and runner-up prizes) are awarded and fulfilled within South Africa only. PinPoint does not make payments to overseas bank accounts and does not ship physical prizes outside South Africa.
8. Fair Play
Any attempt to manipulate entries, exploit system behaviour, or automate participation will result in disqualification.
9. Winner Notification & Non-Response
Winners will be contacted using the email address associated with their PinPoint account. PinPoint will make reasonable efforts to contact a winner, which may include multiple email attempts over a period of at least 7 days.
If a winner does not respond within the specified time, or if PinPoint is unable to make contact after reasonable attempts, the winner may forfeit the prize. In such cases, PinPoint may, at its discretion:
- offer the prize to the next closest eligible entrant, or
- cancel or re-run the competition, or
- handle the unclaimed prize in another reasonable manner.
Where a cash alternative is chosen, the winner must provide a valid South African bank account in their own name and any verification documents reasonably requested (such as an account confirmation letter). Failure to provide such details within the required timeframe may also result in forfeiture of the prize.
10. Liability
PinPoint is not liable for technical failures beyond reasonable control, including payment provider outages or internet disruptions.

We will review all reasonable queries and disputes in good faith and respond within a reasonable time.

PinPoint is intended for use by individuals located in South Africa. While our website may be accessible from other countries, participation in competitions is restricted to South African residents as set out in our Terms of Play.
