Frequently Asked Questions

PinPoint is a skill-based competition platform. Each competition displays an image where a ball has been digitally removed. You place a marker where you believe the centre of the ball is — the most accurate entry wins.

No. PinPoint is not a lottery, betting, or gambling platform. There are no random draws, no luck-based outcomes, and no betting mechanics. Winners are determined solely by the accuracy of their selection, in accordance with South African law for skill-based competitions.

You must be at least 18 years old, a South African resident, and have a valid email address and PinPoint account. Entries from non-South African residents are not permitted and will be disqualified.

Browse the active competitions on the home page, click Play, choose how many entries you want, then click/tap on the image to place your marker(s). Complete payment to confirm your entry.

Yes. Multiple entries per competition are allowed. Each entry is a separate paid marker placement. The total number of entries per competition is capped to promote fairness.

Payments are securely processed via Yoco in South African Rand (ZAR). Your entry is only confirmed after successful payment.

Entries are generally non-refundable once paid and confirmed. In exceptional circumstances — such as a technical failure or duplicate payment caused by a system error — PinPoint may issue a refund or credit at its discretion. If PinPoint cancels a competition, all paid entries will be refunded or credited.

The system calculates the distance between each entry and the correct ball position. The entry with the shortest distance wins. In the event of a tie, the earliest submitted entry is selected.

Yes. 2nd place receives a R150 Amazon SA voucher and 3rd place receives a R50 Amazon SA voucher.

Some competitions offer a cash alternative instead of the physical prize. If you choose the cash option, payment will only be made into a valid South African bank account in your name. PinPoint may request an account confirmation letter before processing.

Winners are contacted via the email address on their PinPoint account. PinPoint will make reasonable efforts to contact you over at least 7 days. If you don't respond in time, the prize may be forfeited or offered to the next eligible entrant.

Yes. All prizes are original and sourced from legitimate, trusted suppliers within South Africa. PinPoint does not deal in counterfeit, grey-market, or unauthorised products. Supplier or proof-of-purchase details may be shared with the winner on request.

Physical prizes are typically dispatched within 5–10 business days after winner confirmation and verification. Delivery times may vary depending on supplier availability, courier services, and your location within South Africa.

Physical prizes are covered by the standard warranty, returns, and replacement policies of the relevant supplier or manufacturer. Any defects or faults will be handled in accordance with those policies. Cash alternatives are not eligible for returns or exchanges once paid.

Yes. After each competition the winning distance is published, the winner is announced publicly (with their email masked), and the calculation time is recorded. Entry pools are also capped per competition to ensure fairness.

Any attempt to manipulate entries, exploit system behaviour, or automate participation will result in disqualification.
